What is the value in a crisis?
Many of us are experiencing some sort of a crisis right now whether it is financial or professional. If we are not personally affected, we know people who are, and are thereby impacted. If you look at the newspaper or watch or listen to any news programs, you have to be impacted on some level.
There is still a war going on in the Middle East, afterall. This is a crisis for sure, even though we've grown accustomed to this crisis, in a way, unless we have loved ones over there.
Short or long term crisis-it all takes a toll.
It all has value, too, though. Spirituality is an instinct and it makes itself evident through our yearnings for something more.
- Crisis certainly brings about yearnings.
- Crises teach us that we are more than just our phusical bodies and minds.
- Crises teach us that life has a meaning-and that meaning can be very personal. We go from being broken, tightly wound, and shut down to being open.
- Our heart opens as we walk along the path of a crisis, so long as we awaken to the gift it presents. In other words, we see the crisis as a challenge to learn something from and we try to find value in the situation.
